Freeplay’s unique Personal Power Generation
technology harnesses your own energy, then
transforms it into electrical current to power
these economical, environmentally friendly and
versatile radios, unaided by batteries, outlets or
power cords. An internal spring-driven generator
powers the radio for 30 minutes with only 30
seconds of cranking. Spring life is approximately
10,000 winds. A power jack allows the radios to be
powered by a solar module or a 3v to 9v DC
adapter.
There are two models to choose from, the FPR1
AM/FM/short-wave radio and the FPR2 AM/FM solar
assisted radio. The FPR1 is 13-1/2" x
10" x 5-1/2" and weighs 7 lbs. The FPR2
is 8" x 11-1/2" x 8" and weighs 5
pounds. Its built in solar panel will operate the
radio in full sun. 1 year warranty.
