AquaStar
Instantaneous Water Heaters
AquaStar water heaters have thermostatically controlled
burners, which make them a good choice if your water
is already heated or preheated by a wood stove or
solar thermal collector. The New AquaStar 38 is their
smallest water heater and is great for single fixture
applications. The AquaStar “S” series, available in
Model 125 and the standard Model 170 are designed
to back up a solar water heating system, so its burner
will adjust itself from 0 BTUs to full output to heat
the water to your desired temperature. Other AquaStar
models modulate from full out put down to 50%. The
125L is designed for recirculation systems, where
water is pumped from a pressurized storage tank through
the water heater and back to the tank. This system
is often used in radiant floor heating and snowmelt
systems. (The 125L requires a smaller pressure drop
to activate the burner. Aquastar’s newest model, the
125X, is just like the 125B but has a battery sparked
ignition unit.) 10 year warranty on the heat exchanger
and a 2 year warranty on all other parts. AGA listed.
